Best. Show. Ever.

He had energy. He had charisma. He had magnetism. He has an amazing book of huge hits and popular songs that goes back, ahem, decades. He held the crowd in the palm of his hand. And he was funny. And we loved him. And on top of that, he can sing pretty darn good. Have you looked up his age? And he has new fans that are young kids. When he said stand, we stood. When he said dance, we danced. When he said sing, we sang. And sang out. If you haven't seen him and get the opportunity, take it. Because those of us who have seen him want to go again. I've been to dozens of shows. This one? Best. Show. Ever.

Best Concert EVER! Hands down wonderful Experience

I flew from Florida to see Lionel.. I hadn't been to one of his concerts before but I mostly knew all of his songs and songs from his previous band the Commodores so I was thrilled he was ON POINT the entire night! It felt like I was in a Livingroom hanging with friends listing to one of the best musicians ever! He is an artist in every sense of the word. Lionel told stories and a few jokes! He had the entire audience standing, singing, dancing, and just SO Happy to be there, in his presence, enjoying the music and the comradery. I would have gone the next night If I didn't have to fly back to Florida.. I will never miss another Lionel Ritchie concert.. so much energy, so much thankfulness and thoughtfulness even to the people holding signs and asking for autographs. Amazing all out enthusiasm and a truly good person beyond being a fabulous musician. He is truly an amazing person who can put on a concert that is phenomenal! Best money spent this year I have memories for a lifetime. Thank you Lionel.

You don’t want to miss this show!

Lionel Richie gave three shows at the Wynn Encore Theater. We saw his second one. The theater was full. The stage had a large screen with a colored display of Lionel. It also was used to show videos of the audience and the performers (but there was only one screen so you didn’t have a good view). There’s a piano and places for the musicians who were also the backup singers. There are no dancers (someone in the audience yelled out asking about them; Lionel said he didn’t have any). The show began with Lionel rising from below stage. (He was 20 minutes late starting which I read happened at other shows. There is no opening act, just watching the large colored display of his head.) He then performed nonstop for more than 90 minutes. Other than a quick costume change, he was onstage the entire time. He covered his music and the music of the Commodores. His voice is still great and the memories are nonstop. It was a wonderful night. One complaint which isn’t his fault—there are no cup holders at your seats. The seats are close with little leg room. There’s nothing to do with your drink or snacks. It does detract from the experience.
